Come and lend a hand to tidy up our village
PARISH TIDY UP
Our Parish Tidy Up will be taking place on SATURDAY 24 APRIL. We had to cancel this event last year so some jobs are definitely overdue! If you are able to lend a hand for a few hours - or even just an hour - to help cut back undergrowth around the play park, clean the bus shelter and village name signs, and do a bit of litter picking then please register your interest by commenting on the post in the Facebook group or e-mailing clerk.hmpc@gmail.com so we can start to make more detailed plans. We would welcome hearing ideas from you that we could tackle and improve the village environment.
We are hoping to start from The Old Lion at about 10am, working in small teams on the assumption the ‘rule of six’ will apply. Thanks to the efforts of the many parishioners who’ve picked up rubbish as part of their daily exercise over the past year there isn’t so much litter around the village itself, but this gives us opportunity to focus on areas that perhaps aren’t part of a regular walking route.
Fingers crossed for some sunshine so that we can all buy ourselves a well-earned 'refreshment' to enjoy in The Old Lion’s beer garden afterwards!
